Smart School

i) A smart school is distinguished from any ordinary school.  Smart school is a technology based teaching learning institution, which prepares children for the information and knowledge based society apart from making their holistic development.
ii) Smart schools are those schools which will have the state of the art facilities to impart quality education viz. smart classrooms, digital content, solar energy, sports facilities, smart uniform, attractive ambience including educational parks, colour coding, landscaping, gate symmetry, etc.
iii) In order to impart quality education in government schools and increase enrolment therein the Department intends to convert all schools into Smart Schools to improve the human resource, physical and ICT infrastructure in the government run schools.
